1. Overview

This online store is operated under the trading name RoamTail. Throughout these Terms, “RoamTail,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the store operator.

By visiting our website, placing an order, or using any part of our services, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or place an order.

Our store is hosted by Shopify, which provides the ecommerce platform that allows us to sell our products.

2. Eligibility and customer information

You must be legally capable of entering into a purchase agreement in your location. If you are under the legal age of majority, you may only use this store with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information when placing an order. We are not responsible for delivery problems caused by an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer.

3. Products and product information

RoamTail sells pet supplies and accessories sourced from third-party suppliers.

We make reasonable efforts to present product descriptions, specifications, colours, photographs, prices, and availability accurately. However:

• Colours may vary slightly because of lighting, photography, and screen settings.

• Product packaging may differ from the images displayed.

• Measurements may have small manufacturing variations.

• Products may be updated or discontinued without notice.

Please review the product description and selected variant carefully before placing an order.

Products must be used according to their instructions and under appropriate supervision. Pet accessories are not substitutes for veterinary advice, professional training, or responsible pet supervision.

4. Orders and acceptance

Submitting an order does not guarantee that we will accept or fulfil it. An order is accepted after payment is successfully processed and we confirm that the product can be fulfilled.

We may cancel or refuse an order when:

• A product is unavailable.

• Pricing or product information contains an obvious error.

• Payment cannot be verified.

• Fraudulent or unauthorised activity is suspected.

• The delivery address cannot be serviced.

• The order violates these Terms or applicable law.

If we cancel a paid order, we will refund the affected amount to the original payment method.

We may limit quantities purchased per customer, household, address, or order.

5. Prices, currency and payment

Unless otherwise stated, prices displayed to Australian customers are in Australian dollars (AUD).

Payments are processed through the payment methods displayed at checkout, including PayPal where available. RoamTail does not directly store your complete payment-card or PayPal login details.

Your bank or payment provider may charge currency-conversion, international transaction, or other fees. These charges are controlled by your provider and are not charged by RoamTail.

We may change product prices at any time. A price change will not affect an order that has already been accepted and paid, except where an obvious pricing error has occurred.

6. Shipping and delivery

Available shipping methods, costs, and estimated transit times are shown at checkout after a valid delivery address is entered.

For eligible Australian orders, we currently offer Free Tracked Delivery with an estimated transit time of 7–17 business days. This is an estimate and not a guaranteed arrival date.

Orders may be fulfilled by third-party suppliers and may be shipped from outside Australia. Processing, customs inspections, carrier disruptions, severe weather, public holidays, remote locations, or other circumstances may affect delivery times.

We will provide tracking information when it becomes available. Customers are responsible for monitoring tracking updates and providing a safe and accessible delivery location.

Please contact us if an order is significantly delayed or tracking has not updated for an unusual period. Nothing in this section limits any rights available under applicable consumer law.

7. Address changes and cancellations

Contact us as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel an order. We cannot guarantee changes or cancellations after an order has entered processing or been submitted to our supplier.

If an incorrect or incomplete address causes a parcel to be returned, lost, or requires reshipment, the customer may be responsible for reasonable additional shipping costs, except where the problem was caused by us or where applicable law provides otherwise.

8. Returns, refunds and faulty products

Returns, cancellations, replacements, and refunds are handled according to our Return and Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

We generally do not provide refunds for change of mind, choosing the wrong colour or quantity, no longer wanting the product, or finding it cheaper elsewhere.

This does not exclude rights relating to faulty, damaged, unsafe, incorrectly supplied, or materially misdescribed products under applicable consumer law.

Do not return a product without contacting us first. Approved return instructions and the appropriate return address will be provided for the specific order.

9. Australian Consumer Law

When Australian Consumer Law applies, our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under that law.

You may be entitled to a repair, replacement, refund, or compensation when a product has a failure covered by the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Online businesses supplying products directly to Australian consumers must comply with applicable Australian consumer protections, even when operating from overseas.

10. Acceptable use

You must not use our website or services:

• For unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive purposes.

• To violate another person’s intellectual-property or privacy rights.

• To transmit viruses, malicious code, or harmful material.

• To interfere with the website’s security or operation.

• To scrape, copy, reproduce, or exploit store content without permission.

• To submit false information or impersonate another person.

• To place fraudulent orders or misuse promotions.

We may restrict access or cancel orders where these activities are suspected.

11. Intellectual property

The RoamTail name, branding, website design, written content, and other materials created by or licensed to us are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Product photographs and other supplier-provided materials remain the property of their respective owners or licensors. Their appearance on our store does not transfer ownership to customers.

You may not reproduce, sell, distribute, or commercially exploit store content without written permission from the relevant rights holder.

12. Reviews and customer submissions

If you submit a review, photograph, comment, suggestion, or other content, you confirm that:

• You have the right to submit it.

• It is accurate and based on a genuine experience.

• It does not violate another person’s rights.

• It is not unlawful, abusive, misleading, or harmful.

You grant us permission to display and use submitted content for operating and promoting RoamTail, unless otherwise agreed. We may remove content that violates these Terms.

13. Third-party services and links

Our store may use or link to services operated by third parties, including Shopify, PayPal, delivery carriers, and fulfilment suppliers.

Those services may have their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control third-party websites and are not responsible for their independent content, availability, or practices. This does not remove any responsibility that RoamTail has to customers under applicable law.

Our collection and handling of personal information are explained in our Privacy Policy.

By using the store, you acknowledge that information may be processed by service providers necessary to operate the store, process payments, prevent fraud, communicate with customers, and fulfil orders.

15. Accuracy and website availability

We try to keep the store accurate and available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. We may correct errors, update information, suspend features, or perform maintenance without notice.

We will not cancel a customer’s non-excludable legal rights because of an error, interruption, or technical problem.

16. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RoamTail is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses that were not reasonably foreseeable or were caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability arising under mandatory consumer guarantees.

17. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to compensate RoamTail for reasonable losses or expenses resulting from your unlawful use of the website, your material breach of these Terms, or your violation of another person’s rights.

This section does not apply where the loss was caused by RoamTail or where applying it would be unfair or unlawful.

18. Severability

If any part of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, that part will be limited or removed only to the extent required. The remaining Terms will continue to apply.

19. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when our services, business practices, or legal obligations change. The latest version will be displayed on this page with its updated date.

Changes will not remove rights that already apply to an accepted order.

20. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the location from which RoamTail is legally operated, without excluding any mandatory consumer protections that apply in the customer’s country or region.

For sales to Australian consumers, applicable rights and remedies under the Australian Consumer Law are preserved.
